If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what everyday stuff famous people add to their carts — like hair spray or an electric toothbrush. We asked NBA player Josh Hart about the candy, face wash, and protein shakes he can’t live without. (At the very top of the list of things he can’t live without, actually, but that we can’t link to, is his family. “They keep me grounded during the high and low times. I had twin boys 15 months ago, so obviously that’s been a lot, but it’s been a blast,” Hart says.)

I’ve just been eating them since I was in middle school. I’ve probably eaten them beforealmost every game I’ve played since I’ve been in college. Every game I would just eat a box of Mike and Ikes. That became one of my pregame staples: popcorn, Mike and Ikes, and then a peanut butter and jelly.

I tried wine when I was a senior in college with my host dad, and I hated it. And then I got Rajon Rondo my second year in the league as my Secret Santa, and he liked wine, so I got him a couple bottles of wine — one was an ’09 Harlan. I tried that. We opened it after we smacked the Warriors by 20 on Christmas Day, and I drank it and I was like, Yo, this is amazing. So that started the wine obsession I have, and it’s been a staple that I always drink.

I started drinking OWYN a couple years ago, and it was just one of the things I naturally gravitate toward because it’s clean. A lot of the other protein brands — especially those chocolate, vanilla flavors — they come off very heavy. They’re not that nutritious. But OWYN kind of broke the mold with that for me, and I started drinking it after games. I loved it. And now I drink it all the time. I drink it after workouts, or sometimes I need a quick little snack, so I open a bottle and drink one.

Picking a watch for this article was like picking between one of my children, and it was like, Okay, I don’t want to do the nicest one, then I seem like I’m an ass, but then I was just like, Oh, this is the fanciest one. So, yeah, I’d probably have to say the Rolex. It’s a 42-mm. titanium, more of a sports watch. It’s extremely light, very durable. It was either this one or my yellow-gold Rolex Presidential.

For some reason, it’s hard for me to keep track of them, but the AirPods I can’t live without. Obviously during pregame, going into the arena, listening to music in the locker room, during my shooting time, all the traveling that we do. It’s a must. I also use AirPod Maxes, but I always bring both with me. Sometimes I have my AirPod Pros in for two, three hours — sometimes they start irritating my ear. So then I throw on the AirPod Maxes and then rock with those. I listen to J. Cole, Rod Wave, sometimes I have a little New York playlist that I play with: DMX, Ja Rule, Fat Joe. Sometimes I listen to country, gospel. It just depends on the vibes.

My wife really puts me onto all these brands. We were using another brand, and then one day she was like, “I saw a list of cancerous things in body products, and this is on it, so we’re not using it anymore.” Then she brought in Tata Harper. I use this clarifying cleanser all the time, and the water-lock moisturizer, and then a nice oil serum. I started that little face-care routine probably like a year and a half ago. Now I do that routine in the morning, whenever I shower, and after games.

Obviously, I like smelling good. I don’t want to smell whatever I bumped into that day. So I have a lot of cologne. This one I probably use the most. They’re all unisex, but the red bottle is the more masculine one. I’ll change the fragrance up, depending on what the event is, but on a daily basis, this is the one I use. It’s more refreshing. But this one I like just because it’s a little bit more herbal, like a daily citrusy smell.

Todd Snyder is a brand that I wear a decent amount of the time. They have great cashmere sweaters. In cold weather, I love wearing turtlenecks and Chelsea boots. Think about wearing a turtleneck by a fireplace with a glass of wine and a cigar … I like that kind of vibe.

I grew up in the church, but then it wasn’t as prominent in my life until probably a year ago. I got back into reading the Bible and getting back in touch with my religion more. I go to the free-throw line a lot. I do three dribbles and a spin. The spin is just kind of random. The three dribbles are always for the Holy Trinity. That’s something I’ve done since maybe middle school.

I love gaming. I was hard-core into gaming three, four years ago, and then my wife fully moved in and started just ripping away a lot of my free time, and then kids — they rip away a lot of my free time. So when I get the chance, I always sneak my way down to the basement and play my video games. And then on the road, I set it up and play it.

I mostly play sports games — I play Madden, FC25, College Football, PGA Tour. And I’m a little bit of a Harry Potter nerd, so once that came out, I was grinding. And Jalen sucks. Jalen’s trash. I beat him almost in every video game that we play on PS5 or the computer, but when he starts bringing up the Switch, he starts whooping my ass.
